Epoxy installation requires scuffing and acid washing of the enamel surface. Flacking and pealing you will see, but rusting is unseen under the epoxy that can cause major damage down the road.
If you do choose to re-glaze your tub, expect to see deep gouges from the scuffing and streaks from brushing. And of course, do not glaze synthetic tubs and PLEASE check for toxins leaching into your bathwater from any epoxy product.
